Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Budgify ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Budgify is a spending analysis tool that processes bank statement PDFs to provide categorised transaction data, spending insights, and a financial health score. The Service is provided "as is" for informational purposes only.

3. Not Financial Advice

Budgify does not provide financial advice, investment recommendations, or regulated financial services. The insights, health scores, and suggestions generated by our AI are for informational and educational purposes only. They should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional financial advice.

Always consult a licensed financial advisor before making financial decisions. We are not responsible for any decisions you make based on information provided by the Service.

4. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
  • You must be a resident of the UAE or have a UAE bank account to use the Service effectively.
  • You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws.

5. Your Account

  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
  • You must provide accurate contact information for authentication purposes.
  • You must not share your OTP codes with anyone.
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Upload fraudulent, forged, or tampered bank statements.
  • Upload bank statements belonging to another person without their explicit consent.
  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose, including money laundering detection evasion.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or exploit the Service.
  • Overload the Service with excessive automated requests.

7. Data Accuracy

While we strive for accuracy, Budgify uses AI-based categorisation which may occasionally miscategorise transactions. You can correct miscategorised transactions using the correction feature. We are not liable for any inaccuracies in the automated analysis.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, algorithms, and content, is the intellectual property of Budgify. You retain ownership of your bank statement data. By uploading a statement, you grant us a limited licence to process it for the purpose of providing the Service.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by UAE law:

  • The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
  • Our total liability shall not exceed AED 100.
  • We are not responsible for financial losses resulting from decisions made based on our analysis.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause. You may delete your account and data at any time by contacting support@budgify.ae.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai, UAE.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
